About NOVAC

NOVAC-vintage is a brand name of Novac Interieur, the company of Richard de Vos.

As a furniture maker and former student of the Rotterdam School of Art, Richard has always had an interest in design and architecture.

As a furniture maker Richard, over many years, specialized himself in making beds and boxes for disabled children and adults with very basic behaviour. He has been doing this for almost 30 years now, under the brand name of Alert Bedboxen (www.alertbedboxen.nl). Also a brand name of Novac Interieur

In the year 2000 Richard expanded his company and bought a, abandoned and desolated, former cheesefactory in the city of Steenwijk. This factory was named NOVAC and after many years of restoration in comtemporary style and modernity by ourselves, this building was given back its name and its liveliness.
Here Richard was able to give shape and form to his love for design and started collecting. This collection turned quite large and therefore he decided to start selling items as well. NOVAC-vintage was born.

In 2012 Tim de Vos started working in the company of Richard. It is very likely that when you contact NOVAC-vintage, Tim will be the one to respond.

Today NOVAC-vintage has a large collection of interior items of which the largest part consists out of lighting pieces. We have a collection of more than 1200 lamps. Mostly of Scandinavian, Italian and Dutch origin.
But besides lighting, NOVAC-vintage also offers other furniture design from the 1950’s until now.

NOVAC Vintage is open to visitors by appointment. We are present on almost every day, but please call us to make sure we’re there and we have the time to show you around.
Feel free to contact us and we would be more than happy to welcome you in our showroom.
