This 1920's modernist set of bedroom-table and chairs was designed for the former and well known Dutch furniture factory L.O.V Oosterbeek. L.O.V. is an abbreviation of Labor Omnia Vincit, which means "Work conquers all". L.O.V. Oosterbeek was an idealistic furniture company from the 1920s, where important Dutch designers worked or started their career, such as F. Spanjaard, H.F. Mertens, J. Crouwel and J.A. van Muntendam.
This beautiful bedroom set is made of solid oak. The legs that are placed in different angles, with horizontal and vertical lines, make it a very modern design for that time. It reminds us of the chairs by Rietveld. This could be a design of J.A. Muntendam, however it is unknown to us and no designer is mentioned in the online catalogue. The set is marked by L.O.V. and is fully original with some light signs of age and use. It has been polished and only needed minimal restauration. Beautifull set for a hallway or bedroom.
The table has a height of 60 cm and a depth and width of 59,5 cm. The chairs have a seating height of 40 cm. The other chair measurements are mentioned in the details.
We also have a matching daybed and cabinet of L.O.V. available.
