This famous Costes chair was designed by Philippe Starck for Café Costes in Paris in 1984. The chair was designed with only three legs to make it more easier to wait on the table without waiters tripping on the legs. The frame of the Costes Armchair is made of black painted steel pipe. The back rest is made of bent plywood with mahogany veneer. The seating cushion is made of polyurethane foam with a cover made of black leather. This chair is in a good condition with signs of age and use. Stronger patina where the chair met the table on the armrest parts.
Seat height: 46 cm.
