This writing desk, model EB04, was designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in 1952. It is part of the famous 'Birch Series'. The desk is made of birch plywood and is a very modernist and playful design of that time. It has 3 drawers on the left and on the right a door with 2 pull out shelves behind and a pull out shelve above the door that gives more working space. It has beautiful integrated handles and comes with a key to lock the door and upper drawer. This desk is in a good, solid but patinated condition with signs of age and use.
