This hanging lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for the 'Langelinie' Pavillion in Copenhagen. The lamp is also known as Tellerkenlamp or plate pendant. The design of this pendant symbolises the rings in the water when there is movement. This because the pavillion/restaurant is next to the seaside. The lamp is a heavy pendant that is made of copper. It shows age and character that does give it a more industrial look.
