This wall sconce, model 'Schelpdier' (Dutch for shellfish) was designed by Piet Cohen for Raak Amsterdam in the 1970's. It consists out of 2 overlapping cast aluminum elements that create a beautiful warm diffuse light. The lamp is coated with a matte light grey paint at the outside and an off-white inside. The lamp is in a good condition with a little spot of paintloss at the top shell and some small signs of age and use.
