The well known 'RA' lamp was designed by Piet Hein for Lyfa in Denmark in the 1960's. It (RA) is called after the ancient Egyptian sun god and it was designed to provide as much regular light as possible without dazzle. This piece is a larger version and has a diameter of 40 cm (RA-40). It is recently newly lacquered in a matted silver color. An iconic pendant that is a true example of a timeless design. This lamp is overall in a very good condition with minor signs of age and use.
