This chair is a full original early model 116 chair by Wim Rietveld for Gispen. The chair does have quite some patina to it that shows life. It gives the chair a lot of character, but you would have to like it as well. These days, this chair is made with screws through the backrest to attach this. The early versions are glued, but glue this strong has not been found anymore by Gispen. The chair is solid but comes with signs of age and use.
