This very beautiful pendant lamp, model 'Cipola' or 'Onion', was designed by Alessandro Pianon for Vistosi in Italy. The orange "onion" shape is made of hand blown Murano glass. The inside has opaline white glass that gives a beautiful warm and pleasant light. Two different sizes and several colours were produced; this is the smaller version with a diameter of 35 cm (model L51). It is in a very good condition with minor signs of age and use. The bottom edge is in excellent condition, the top edge shows some chiploss from cutting the glass at the glass blowing process.
