This charming and rare wall unit or dressing table was designed by Nisse and Kajsa Strinning and made for String AB in the 1950's in Sweden. This piece is fully original and consists out of 2 white coated metal uprights, holding 1 teak desk top with 2 drawers. The drawers have the original wooden grips. The first, former, owner used this as a dressing table, with a mirror. But one could also use this as a small desk or in a hallway. The wall mounts are of the more rare kind and this model as a dressing table is extremely hard to find. The drawer runners do have some damage and have been turned back to front to make these work smooth. All teak parts have been cleaned and lacquered and look very good. This unit is in a good condition with small signs of age and use to the metal wall mounts and drawer runners. The lower drawer does carry the original String AB label. In addition to the measurements; the part of the white uprights that comes above the cabinet is 11 cm.
