This birch sideboard is a Dutch design from the 1950's by P. van der Klugt and Coen de Vries for Everest. It has 4 drawers and a door with lock and key and a single shelf. A smaller sized sideboard that is very suitable for smaller spaces. This cabinet has been superficially restored with a few new veneer inlays and lacquered in a glossy lacquer. The piece is overall in a very good condition with some signs of age and use. It is partially labelled at the back side with a label from the Dutch foundation "Goed Wonen". They informed and educated people on modern living in the 1950's/1960's in the Netherlands. The "Goed Wonen" magazine was the "Domus" of the Netherlands. This type/series cabinet is also included in the collection of Museum Rotterdam.
