The 'Skyflyer' was designed by Yki Nummi in 1960. Yki Nummi was one of the earlier designers from Finland to use acrylic as a material for light fixtures in the 1960's. The lamp is also known as 'Lokki', that means seagull in Finnish. The shade is made of white perspex that hangs on three thin metal ball chains. It gives a beautiful light, thanks to the bulb location, there is both direct and indirect light and no direct glare into the eyes. This lamp has a diameter of ΓΈ50 cm and is an old original edition. It is in a very good condition with some minor signs of age and use.
