This stool comes with the extra ring to rest your foot or feet on whilst working on your next artwork. The ring was an additional option to the drafting stools and chairs to provide more comfort to the user. This particular stool does have a stamp that says .....70, but it's not very good to read. Probably is shows the year of manufactury This stool is a great piece of Dutch industrial design and has a very nice used and industrial look.
