This stunning 'Tulip' dining table with 4 chairs is a design by Maurice Burke for Arkana in England in the early 1960's. It is an iconic Space Age design, inspired by the Eero Saarinen design for Knoll from the late 1950's. The table has a white rounded laminated table top on a solid white metal 'tulip' base that is marked at the bottom. The matching chairs that can rotate come with soft cushions, made by the 1st owner who we acquired this from. The round design makes it a very social table to discuss school with the kids or talk with your friends, over a nice dinner. The table is in a very good condition with very minor signs of age and use. The chairs are in good condition with the red cushions. The chair bases are in solid condition with some signs of age and use. The plastic shells do show some craquelé at places, as pictured. More pictures are available upon request. Measurements chairs, in cm: H: 80, D: 50, W: 51, seating height: 47.
