This pendant light is a design by E. Fagioli for Dutch lighting company Artimeta. It features a white plexiglass inner shade with a semi-transparant white plexiglass outside shade on a pulling pendulum. An ingenious system makes it possible to adjust the height of the light. The plexiglass shades are softening the light in a beautiful manner. It is almost like a large pearl when lit. The perspex shades show some light signs of age and use. The light has been rewired and an adjustment has been made to the ceiling rose as an extra hole for the wiring was made by previous owner(s). The ceiling rose and the heavy metal ball are in their original white lacquer and do show signs of age and use, leaving a lovely patina that add character to the design.
