This 1920's daybed was designed for the former and well known Dutch furniture factory L.O.V Oosterbeek. L.O.V. is an abbreviation of Labor Omnia Vincit, which means "Work conquers all". L.O.V. Oosterbeek was an idealistic furniture company from the 1920s, where important Dutch designers worked or started their career, such as F. Spanjaard, H.F. Mertens, J. Crouwel and J.A. van Muntendam. This daybed is made of oak and has the original dark brown corduroy cushions. Seat height is 41cm. It is marked by L.O.V. Oosterbeek. It has been polished and only needed minimal restauration. It is in a very good condition with signs of age and use, also to the fabric. Additional pictures are available. We also have a matching cabinet available from the same source.
