This stunning vintage 3-seater sofa is a good looking and solid cubistic design. Made of a solid wooden frame and comfortable faux leather cushions. We sourced this sofa from the daughter of the first owner, she was told that this sofa was designed by Jan des Bouvrie for Gelderland in the late 1970's. We have not been able to find any documentation to support this, but we did find that it does show resemblance to a design by Esko Pajamies for Asko Finland from the 1960's, model Bonanza.  The wooden frame has, in the past, been strengthened with metal connectors that we have had removed again. This does show a few small screwhole filling repairs, mainly behind the cushions. The webbing has been renewed by our upholsterer.  The upholstery itself has been renewed somewhere over time by the former owner and is still in a good to very good condition with only smaller signs of age and use.
