This colorful sewing box stand was very likely designed by Joos Teders for Metalux in The Netherlands in the 1950's. It consists out of a black metal stand with 4 colourful Rietveld style metal boxes that have black lacquered plywood lids. The boxes kan be rotated around the stand. This piece is in a poor, patinated condition, with signs of age and use, such as paint loss and rust at the inside of the boxes.  Nevertheless, a very special and decorative piece from that time!
