Very nice modular bookcase by William Watting for A. Mikael Laursen. A producer of design furniture from Aarhus, Denmark. The bookcase consists out of 2 parts. The wider bottom part which can also be used as a side table. With the modular parts added you get the bookcase. The top consists out of 2 poles that are connected by 5 metal rod steel parts wth the shelves on top of them. The top and bottom are put on top of eachother and are not connected to each other. The top shelf can be wall mounted and that way a solid construction is build. A very nice piece of midcentury design from the late 1950's.
